2011 BMW M6
The new BMW M6 concept made its debut at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. It is based on the BMW E63/E64 6-Series, introduced in 2004. It shares the same 5.0 L V10 S85 engine and SMG III gearbox with the E60 M5, and produces 514 hp (383 kW) / 520 N·m (380 lb·ft). BMW claims it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds (0-60 mph: 4.1 s [Road & Track [2/06]) and has an electronically limited top speed of 155 miles per hour (249 km/h). With the limiter removed, the top speed can reach 205 miles per hour (330 km/h). The M6 has the same 'power button' as the M5 which modifies the throttle response. From ignition, the car delivers 399 bhp (298 kW; 405 PS), but engaging the button allows the full 373 kW (507 PS; 500 hp). It weighs 3,770 lb (1,710 kg) thanks to a carbon fibre reinforced plastic roof panel as well as thermoplastic front wings, aluminum doors and bonnet (hood) and compound boot (trunk) lid.In the 2010 model year, the M6 was the second-most expensive BMW sold in the U.S. after the 760Li ($137,000), with an MSRP of $108,150 for the convertible and $102,350 for the coupe. In the U.S. the M6 had one of the largest residual value drops at 19%, as it had little if any changes since its 2006 introduction. Overall the M6 is a powerful vehicle.

2011 BMW X3 Sports Launch in India Soon
BMW’s plans to announce the BMW X3 in the Indian automobile market and the time has come as during May & June 2011 the car will hit the market irony. We are surprised to see BMW claim at such a high rate as it launched BMW 320d Performance Edition a couple of days back, then announced of the BMW 6 Series launch.
The next supplement BMW X3 Sports Activity Vehicle is supposed to bring a important change in the company’s briefcase and sales figures since reports say that the car will be imported as CKD unit and not as CBU unit thereby reducing the overall cost per product. This strategy certainly will help the brand price it competitive enough in the market and expectedly attain a better growth. From June 2011 the company will start assembling the car inspite of the current ambiguous stand held by the Indian government which is supposed to be defined in the 2011 Union Budget. Considering the base model the car is supposed to be priced below Rs 40 Lakh and above for higher models.

BMW Isetta 300
The Isetta is Italian-designed microcar built in a number of different countries, including Spain, Belgium, France, Brazil, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Produced in the post-World War II years, a time when cheap short-distance transportation was most needed, it became one of the most successful and influential city cars ever created. Because of its egg shape and bubble-like windows, it became known as a bubble car, a name later given to other similar vehicles, including the AMC Pacer. The BMW Isetta was in 1955 the world's first mass-production 3-liter car. Its low-friction 1-cylinder engine and low weight gave it a fuel efficiency of 3.3 litres per 100 kilometres (86 mpg-imp; 71 mpg-US) (manufacturer information). It is the top-selling one cylinder car in the world, with 161,728 units sold.
BMW made the Isetta its own. They redesigned the powerplant around a BMW one-cylinder, four-stroke, 247 cc motorcycle engine which generated 10 kW (13 hp). Although the major elements of the Italian design remained intact, BMW re-engineered much of the car, so much so that none of the parts between a BMW Isetta Moto Coupe and an Iso Isetta are interchangeable. The first BMW Isetta appeared in April 1955.1955 BMW Isetta 250, BMW Museum, Munich, Germany. In May 1962, three years after launching the conventionally modern-looking BMW 700, BMW ceased production of Isettas. A total of 161,728 units had been built.

The now defunct British firm Tri-Tech, under the model name "Zetta", sold a kit car or even an assembled complete BMW Isetta lookalike replica from modern parts, including Honda CN 250 cc single-cylinder water-cooled engines with automatic transmission (standard) or Kawasaki 500 GPS two-cylinder water-cooled motorcycle engines with optional manual transmission. Some parts, new or used, were from "donor" vehicles. Front suspension and steering were from (General Motors) Bedford (later sold under the Vauxhall name) "Rascal" or the original and almost identical Suzuki "Supercarry" light duty van or pick-up trucks. Drum brakes and wheels were from Morris and the subsequent British Leyland Motor Corporation "Mini". Prices ranged from c. £2650 for the kit up to c. £9450 for a complete version. It could be legally registered for use under British laws. Tri-Tech also supplied some body parts which can be used for running non-exact restorations of BMW Isettas.A new version of the BMW Motorrad Isetta has been rumoured since 2007. Currently (December 2010), this is thought to be the concept vehicle for the BMW Mega City Vehicle project.

Top Bike Launches Expected In India In 2011
Year 2010 has been a very eventful year where Car and Bike Launches are concerned. Recently we covered – 94 Top Indian Car & Bike Launches Of Year 2010 on Car Blog India. We hope that with the recovering economy globally and a strong economic growth in India, we will see another eventful and prosperous year ahead for Indians and Indian industries. In this article we look forward to the coming year 2011 and see what all is expected from Indian automobile industry in this year to come.
1. Kawasaki Ninja 650R For India
Had i been a wealthy person, i would have bought the bike that we are going to talk about today. I am talking about the soon to be introduced Kawasaki Ninja 650R which is sibling of very popular motorcycle already running on the roads on India, Kawasaki Ninja 250R.Kawasaki is a world renowned brand which initiated the trend of bikes with Ram Air engines. The line-up offered globally is certainly worth its price with a host of features and breathtaking performance right at a push of the throttle and now with the addition of Ninja 650R in March 2011, the expansion plans of the company seem to take shape.
2. KTM Duke 125 For India
KTM will soon launch its KTM 125 Avatar concept 2010 variant in India. The Sporty Dirt bike will be called KTM Duke. The bike looks sporty, feels sporty, and don’t go by the 125 CC mileage, because this monster gives 20 PS power which is much higher than the normal 125 CC commuter bikes which deliver 12 to 13 PS power.
3. ktm duke 200 For India
With the entrance of the Yamaha FZ-16 and Yamaha R-15, the India two-wheeler market scenario has been transformed and taken to another and certainly a much better level. Earlier where it was only a dream for bikers to buy a stripped down version of a performance bike, now has been drastically changed.For the Indian market the most important thing to keep in mind is the price tag and one can only offer performance bikes at affordable prices by stripping down some of their features. The trend was brought by Yamaha and is being followed by a number of brands like Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki and now KTM.
4. Honda CBR250R Launch In India
In February 2011 Honda will open Honda CBR 250 booking in India. It will start receiving token money for booking, the deliveries will start in April 2011. The pricing of the Honda CBR 250 has not been announced as of now but it is believed that it will take on Ninja 250 in a big way by competitive pricing. We are keeping our eyes on it and will update you as soon as any official information arrives.
5. TVS Apache RTR 180 With ABS
Fuel Injection, Delta Frames, Disc Brakes, Digital gizmos are the desires that every young man wants to be an integral part of his life. So far no Indian company has evolved with their bikes, but TVS seems to be taking much interest in different technological stuff and even Bajaj is there with TVS. TVS already has one of the finest motorcycles in India in the form of TVS Apache RTR 180 which is not only one of the fastest in production but also upholds the tag of being the best stopper among all the machines produced in its segment in India.
6. Yamaha Gearless Scooters For India
Honda Activa, Mahindra Rodeo, TVS Wego and Suzuki Access are one of the most popular and hot selling gearless scooters in India these days. Yamaha is correct in gauging this demand and claim its share of the pie. With demand of popular scooters like Honda Activa being as much as two months, it’s a right move for Yamaha to enter the segment and create more choices in the segment.
7. BMW Motorcycles For India
BMW is going extremely well with appreciable car sales still increasing at a good rate and has also confirmed its plans of launching motorcycles in India. On one hand where Yamaha, Honda, Ducati, Suzuki and Harley Davidson have already entered the two-wheeler arena with high end performance bikes, BMW has to make sure that it offers everything to attract customers.Now the question arises which are the bike that the brand is going to launch? The answer is BMW R1200GS and BMW S1000RR are the two machines that this German manufacturer will offer initially. The S1000RR is a sport bike whereas the R1200GS is a dual-sport one.
